Nine Years Ago, Project H.O.O.D. Was Born
Today is Special
Today is a very special day.
On November 20, 2011, we began a campaign to remove a crime-ridden motel across the street from New Beginnings Church in Chicago.
Pastor Corey Brooks camped out on the roof of that motel to bring attention to the crime in Chicago.
The community stood by him and after 94 days, he raised enough money to buy the land and tear down the motel.
It was during this time that Project H.O.O.D. was born.
Plans are underway for a state-of-the-art community center to replace the crime-ridden motel.

We are making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
