Re-Entry Services Program
A successful reentry makes for a healthy neighborhood and community!
In December 2019, Project H.O.O.D. established our Re-Entry Services Program to address the needs of our communities’ returning citizens and deter recidivism. According to the National Institute of Corrections, in 2015, 641,000 people were released from state and federal prisons. Inmates are overwhelmingly black and return to black neighborhoods and successful and unsuccessful re-entries affect the entire community.
Prevent Recidivism
Part of Project H.O.O.D.’s mission is to change the trajectory of at-risk individuals and prevent recidivism and our re-entry program offers an array of services to help the transition the most productive:
Identification and Driver’s Licenses
Construction Training Cohorts
CDL Classes
Legal Services, Expungement/Sealing of Criminal Records
Job Placement Services
Spiritual Counseling and Family Reunification
Referrals for Transitional Housing Related to Recovery
We are committed to your successful re-entry and your journey on the road to becoming productive members of society.
Contact us as soon as possible. We recommend 60 to 90 days prior to release.
