Project H.O.O.D. Holds Fourth Coronavirus Relief Event

Chicago–Saturday, October 10, 2020, Project H.O.O.D. held its fourth Coronavirus Relief Event to help families struggling through the pandemic. 

Over 5,000 people received boxes of fresh fruits, vegetables, canned goods, dry goods, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, and hair care products.

Project H.O.O.D. Founder and Executive Director Pastor Corey B. Brooks said the Food Drive-Up/Walk-Up was a success. “We are very appreciative to each individual donor, Unilever, and Oberweis for making this event possible,” said Brooks.

The Food Drive-Up/Walk-Up event was at New Beginnings Church of Chicago at 6620 S. King Drive.

Next up for Project H.O.O.D.? 

A food relief event specifically for Thanksgiving.
