Meridian, a leading provider of government-sponsored managed care services in Illinois, has awarded Project H.O.O.D.’s Virtual Learning Program 25 Samsung Tablets with keyboards in recognition of the need for technology in urban areas.
Project H.O.O.D. was selected as one of 130 applications totaling over 11,000 device requests to receive Chromebooks or Samsung Tablets.
“A new school year is a time for excitement and anticipation. It is our hope that this award of 25 Samsung Tablets with keyboards will begin the school year with a feeling of new beginnings and an eagerness to learn, despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic.” MeridianHealth
“This donation will assist grade-school children enrolled in our Virtual Learning Program to work more efficiently and log into their classes. Many of these children do not have devices or computers at home and we are appreciative of MeridianHealth choosing Project H.O.O.D.” Pastor Corey B. Brooks, Executive Director
