Chicago, IL. - Nov. 17, 2021—As Chicago continues to grapple with escalating gun violence and armed car-jackings, Project H.O.O.D. Executive Director and Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Chicago Corey Brooks is calling for aid in the building of a community center to replace the crime-ridden hotel he fought to demolish. CEOs, influencers, and community stakeholders are answering the call by camping out with him.

*Saturday, November 20th at 3:30 p.m. Brooks begins the 100 Day Campout Against Gun Violence. Uptake’s CEO Kayne Grau, Lockton Companies Senior VP Michael Paulsen, and Gubernatorial Candidate Jesse Sullivan will join him. All have committed to spending the first night of the Tent-A-Thon outside on top of a makeshift rooftop to help raise the $35million for Project H.O.O.D.’s Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center.
