CRANE FOUNDATION DONATES $100,000 TO PROJECT H.O.O.D. COMMUNITY CENTER
Crane President, CEO Max Mitchell to Present Check in Person Friday, March 18th
On behalf of the Crane Foundation, Crane Co. President and CEO Max Mitchell will present Pastor Corey Brooks with a $100,000 donation earmarked for the Project H.O.O.D. Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center.

Joining Mitchell on the roof on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., will be Danielle Kurkjian, Manager of Crane Co.’s Philanthropy, Sustainability, and Equality Initiatives, and Reverend Dr. Bernard Wilson, Senior Minister of Norfield Congregational Church in Weston, CT. Crane Co. is based in Stamford, CT.
Friday will be Pastor Corey Brooks’ 118th day of his extended 100 Day Campout Against Violence. Brooks is raising $35million to build a much needed vocational training and community center on Chicago’s south side. Project H.O.O.D. has raised over $10million in cash, in-kind services, and supplies since Brooks began his campout vigil on November 20, 2021.
“This gift from the Crane Foundation makes all the difference,” said Brooks. “Corporations assist us in training an untapped workforce while making our city safer at the same time is a partnership we can all take pride in. We are grateful for this donation from the Crane Foundation and look forward to receiving Max Mitchell, Danielle Kurkjian, and Reverend Wilson on Friday.”
