Women's Electrical
Project H.O.O.D.’s All Women’s Electrical Class Starts with 18 Women

In partnership with ABC-Illinois, Project H.O.O.D. started a new all women’s electric class on Monday, March 15, 2021.
Over 50 women applied for the class and 18 were selected. The women arrived at New Beginnings Church to take the TABE test and begin orientation.
Executive Director Corey Brooks says, “We wanted to name the class after a specific black woman in construction but after researching the subject, there were just too many to choose from. The important thing is that we want to encourage more female participation in the construction industry. It is a wide-open frontier for women to establish meaningful careers.”
Class is three days a week for thirteen weeks.
Congratulations to the class!
Much success in your training!
