Crime is Down in Woodlawn
Project H.O.O.D. Violence Prevention Team Goes Door to Door
Chicago–As reports come in on rising crime rates in the city, shootings and other violent crimes are down in Woodlawn.
The Project H.O.O.D. Violence Prevention Team has been working around the clock to resolve possible conflicts before they escalate.
On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, the team also went door-to-door with goods donated by Prairie Farms. This provided another opportunity for one-on-one engagement with residents who are sometimes hesitant to speak to the police.
Our Violence Prevention Team will continue this boots-on-the-ground work and update you on our progress.
Being peacemakers is a vital part of Project H.O.O.D.’s mission and we invite you to learn more about our work.
