The Project H.O.O.D. Culinary and Hospitality Program
Project H.O.O.D. is excited to announce more developments in our Culinary and Hospitality Program (CHP). Our CHP is a multi-year program that will prepare both youth and adults for careers in the culinary arts.
In the first year, the program will include 20 youth aged 12-18 years old in a program designed to explore careers in the hospitality and culinary industry; ten adults who are aspiring entrepreneurs in the foodservice and culinary industries will enroll in our B.U.I.L.D. entrepreneurship course and will have access to the commercial kitchen facilities.
We will provide updates on when to apply for admission! The first cohort will be scheduled for the Fall of 2020 for a 12-week course. The students will learn what it’s like to work in restaurant kitchens, restaurant management, hotel management, event venue management, and other areas of hospitality.
The Conagra Brands Foundation has generously donated top-of-the-line equipment for our Culinary and Hospitality Program. With partners and donors like the Conagra Brands Foundation, Project H.O.O.D. continues to fulfill our mission of creating entrepreneurs and economically stable individuals to reduce poverty and violence.
