Featuring a visual sound performance with local artists, Kelechi Agwuncha and Ben LaMar Gay. During the performance, Pastor Corey Brooks will initiate a procession that has been ongoing daily till funds are raised for the future Project H.O.O.D. Leadership and Economic Center.
About the CAB Project H.O.O.D Collaboration:
Chicago-based partners, Norman Teague and Ebere Agwuncha of Norman Teague Design Studios and architect Negin Moayer from BNMO Design, have joined Pastor Corey Brooks of Project H.O.O.D. and New Beginnings Church to construct an installation for a vacant lot along the commercial corridor at 6600 block south Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. New Beginnings Church purchased the vacant lot from the city after Pastor Corey Brooks lobbied to obtain the site following the demolition of a long-abandoned building.
Thank you to our project sponsors, partners, and volunteers for making this possible: Project H.O.O.D, Chicago Architecture Biennial, Norman Teague Design Studios, BMNO Design, New Beginnings Church, Knoll, UIC, and Reed Construction.
See you there!
The event will take place outside across the street from New Beginnings Church at 6615 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL 60637.
